Stewardship -
Giving the heart first place

Stewardship relates to our attitude toward our time, posessions and talents. God has blessed us in so many ways, but he also called us to be good stewards of His blessings. This relates to the way we use our time and treasure as well as remembering to share from our blessings in the work of ministry.

How do I make a donation

Whether bringing your tithes and offerings to a worship gathering, sending them in through mail or the bank, or doing an electronic transaction - any way we can

Why does Poplar Creek Church not receive an offering like most churches?

Nearly 10 years ago we made a bold choice to move from the "collection" to the "offering box" method of receiving financial gifts. This is actually the pattern in the temple where people placed their gifts in a receptacle on the way into worship.

Many people have less than postive memories or associations with churches who "pass the hat" so we have removed that memory trigger and just let people give their offering on their own schedule.

It is still an act of worship as we dedicate of portion of what we have received to Kingdom work. How it actually gets to where it belongs doesn't really matter.

What is the Poplar Creek financial plan?

The church is presented with an operating budget each year in the fall and everyone is given an opportunity to express support for this financial plan. This plan includes funding for staff and ministry, buildings and a host of related responsibilities.

"I believe everyone is blessed by God and has God ordained responsibilities in managing those blessings.

Learning the Biblical principles of Stewardship and applying them to life can be one of the most exhilarating and fulfilling journeys of faith you will ever experience."
